Friendsfactory Germering made 31-of-33 free shots (93.9 percent) during the game, while Rhein MB II only scored fourteen points from the stripe. Friendsfactory Germering forced 23 Rhein MB II turnovers. Strangely Rhein MB II outrebounded Friendsfactory Germering 52-31 including a 24-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. The former international forward Magdalena von Geyr (180-84) fired 33 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Jezabel Ohanian (170-77) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Friendsfactory Germering players scored in double figures. Kristin Annawald (184-93) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 21 rebounds and forward Nadine Ripper (175-88) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Rhein MB II's coach Beni Tokmadzic tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Friendsfactory Germering moved-up to eighth place in South, which they share with Viernheim. Loser Rhein MB II keeps the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Friendsfactory Germering will face Weiterstadt (#10) at home in the next round. Rhein MB II will play against ASC Theresianum Mainz and hope to win that game.
