The game between closely ranked teams ended with 14th ranked Cuxhaven BasCats' (5-16) home loss to thirteenth ranked Bayer Giants (7-14) 72-84. The game was mostly controlled by Bayer Giants. Cuxhaven BasCats was better in fourth quarter 27-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bayer Giants made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Bayer Giants' next round opponent will be league's leader BG Goettingen at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Cuxhaven BasCats will play against Giessen 46ers (#4) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
