Date: February 9, 2014
Ninth-ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (9-10) made lots of trouble for fourth ranked EWE Baskets (14-6) in Oldenburg. EWE Baskets managed to secure only two-point victory 68-66. However their fans expected much easier game. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. The winners were led by American guard Rickey Paulding (196-82, college: Missouri, agency: Pro One Sports) who scored that evening 21 points and naturalized Dutch forward Robin Smeulders (206-87, college: Portland, agency: Court Side) supported him with 12 points and 6 rebounds. Even 22 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Dane Watts (203-86, agency: Pro One Sports) did not help to save the game for Deutsche Bank Skyliners. His fellow American import Ramon Galloway (190-91, college: La Salle) added 21 points for the guests. EWE Baskets maintains fourth position with 14-6 record.
