The game with biggest result difference took place in Mariupol. Local Azovmash-2 (6-9) was outscored by second ranked Kirovograd (15-1) 119-87 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Kirovograd. Azovmash-2 was better in second period 31-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 26-of-29 free shots (89.7 percent) during the game. Kirovograd forced 22 Azovmash-2 turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Quintrell Thomas (203-90, college: UNLV, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) who scored 25 points and 6 rebounds (was perfect 9-for-9 from the free throw line !!!). The other American import point guard DeAndre Mays (188-87, college: Youngstown St., agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) chipped in 18 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Kirovograd players scored in double figures. point guard Ernesto Tkachuk (189-94, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 assists and forward Kristian Lugovtsov (197-94) added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kirovograd have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 15-1 record having just -1 victories less than leader SoyuzBasket. Azovmash-2 lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh place with nine games lost.
