Tenth-ranked Vaerlose (4-17) used its home court advantage to challenge fifth ranked SISU (9-11) on Wednesday. The visitors from Copenhagen managed to secure only three-point victory 91-88. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 5 points after three quarters before their 20-15 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 3-point victory in overtime. American power forward Joe Benjamin (200-83, college: W.Virginia St.) notched a double-double by scoring 23 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and the other American import swingman Mickey Dennis (190-78, college: JMU) supported him with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 20 points and 18 rebounds by American forward Jordan Clarke (203-89, college: Drake, agency: Three Eye Sports) did not help to save the game for Vaerlose. International guard Peter Moller (190-94) added 26 points for the hosts. Five SISU and four Vaerlose players scored in double figures. SISU maintains fifth position with 9-11 record.
