No shocking result in a game in Istanbul where first ranked Darussafaka (17-4) smashed 10th ranked Final Genclik (10-10) 92-61 on Saturday. The game without a history. Darussafaka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Final Genclik's 30 and made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Final Genclik was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) who scored 19 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import power forward Lawrence Roberts (206-82, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 12 points and 5 rebounds. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who recorded 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Erdem Ilter (188-90) added 10 points and 9 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Darussafaka have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 17-4 record. Loser Final Genclik keeps the tenth position with ten games lost. Darussafaka will face Pertevniyal (#16) in Istanbul in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Final Genclik will play at home against Bandirma Kir. (#17) and hope to win that game.
