Regular Season Round 21: Fraport SKY - MBC 64-66

A very interesting game took place in Frankfurt. It ended with only two-point home defeat of 9th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (9-11) to tenth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (10-11) 66-64 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Deutsche Bank Skyliners took an 9-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Mitteldeutscher BC took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. The best player for the winners was Serbian forward Djordje Pantelic (204-84) who scored 11 points and 8 rebounds. American-Italian forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-89, college: USF) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Konstantin Klein (186-91, agency: LUMANI 10.7) who recorded 12 points and 6 assists and center Johannes Voigtmann (210-92) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Mitteldeutscher BC moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Phoenix Hagen. Deutsche Bank Skyliners lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 11 games lost. Mitteldeutscher BC's next round opponent will be higher ranked ALBA Berlin (#3) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Deutsche Bank Skyliners will play against Telekom Baskets (#6) in Bonn and hope to win that game.
