Regular Season Round 19: ICIM Arad - Oradea 70-37

Liga Nationala top team - ICIM Arad (18-1) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed tenth ranked Oradea (6-11) 70-37. The game without a history. ICIM Arad led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Oradea to just 6 points in fourth quarter. ICIM Arad forced 29 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 42-29 including 28 on the defensive glass. American players dominated the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Destiny Williams (185-91, college: Baylor) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points and 19 rebounds. Guard Monica Engelman (180, college: Kansas) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Shuanda Ashford (185, college: E.Carolina) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and center Ceciley Johnson (188-87, college: W.Texas A&M) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Oradea. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ICIM Arad have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 18-1 record. Oradea at the other side keeps the tenth position with 11 games lost. ICIM Arad are looking forward to face Brasov (#6) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Oradea will play against Rapid (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
