Very predictable result when second ranked SoyuzBasket (15-1) rolled over 15th ranked Koksokh-Stal (2-15) in Alchevsk 106-64. It looked good early as Koksokh-Stal took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then SoyuzBasket had a 31-16 second period charge getting the lead and Koksokh-Stal was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 64-106. SoyuzBasket dominated on the defensive end, holding Koksokh-Stal to just 7 points in third quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Koksokh-Stal's 24. SoyuzBasket forced 24 Koksokh-Stal turnovers and outrebounded them 47-19 including a 17-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. 24 personal fouls committed by Koksokh-Stal helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was forward Anton Buts (201-88) who scored 22 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field).
