Very expected game when 13th ranked Mykolaiv-2 (3-14) was smashed at home by eighth ranked Khimik-2 (9-6) 91-65. The game without a history. Khimik-2 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Mykolaiv-2 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was point guard Illya Sidorov (183-96) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Viacheslav Petrov (203-94) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. Four Khimik-2 players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Maksym Ozhegov (190-90) who recorded 29 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and forward Dmitro Ilchenko (204-95) added 12 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Khimik-2 maintains eighth place with 9-6 record. Mykolaiv-2 lost third consecutive game. Mykolaiv-2 at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Khimik-2's next round opponent will be BK Kremen (#12) in Kremenchuk. Mykolaiv-2 will play on the road against Avangard in Kyiv and hope to win that game.
