We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Bucuresti where 9th ranked BC Timisoara (8-10) was defeated by tenth ranked Steaua CSM (8-9) 83-69. The game was mostly controlled by Steaua CSM. BC Timisoara was better in second period 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Steaua CSM dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to BC Timisoara's 24. They dropped to the tenth position with ten games lost. Steaua CSM's next round opponent will be higher ranked Ploiesti (#3) on the road and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. BC Timisoara will play against Farul Const. (#14) and hope to win that game.
