The game in Samokov was quite interesting. Third ranked Neftochimic (12-6) played at the court of 6th ranked Rilski Sportist (5-13). Neftochimic defeated Rilski Sportist 71-57 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Rilski Sportist. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 34-18 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Neftochimic dominated on the defensive end, holding Rilski Sportist to just 6 points in fourth quarter. They outrebounded Rilski Sportist 52-38 including 17 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was American power forward Gloria Brown (187-89, college: UTEP, agency: Merit Management Group) who had a double-double by scoring 13 points and 20 rebounds. Neftochimic moved-up to second place, which they share with Dunav 8806. Rilski Sportist at the other side keeps the sixth position with 13 games lost. Neftochimic is looking forward to face Montana 2003 (#4) on the road in the next round. Rilski Sportist will play against Haskovo 2012 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
