Regular Season Round 28: Bakken - Horsens IC 98-83

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aarhus. First ranked Bakken faced 4th ranked Horsens IC. Host Bakken (18-3) defeated guests from Horsens (12-11) 98-83. It looked good early as Horsens IC took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Bakken had a 25-18 second period charge getting the lead and Horsens IC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 83-98. Bakken made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: I.D.S. Law) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). The former international point guard Andreas Jakobsen (187-83, college: Columbia, MO) contributed with 9 points and 6 assists for the winners. Bosnian swingman Vedran Borovcanin (199-85) replied with 25 points and 6 rebounds and international center Jonas Zohore Bergstedt (210-91) added 20 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Horsens IC. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Bakken have an impressive eight-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 18-3 record. Horsens IC at the other side keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost. Bakken will play against Svendborg (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Horsens IC will play against Aalborg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
