Rather expected game when 5th ranked Aistes-LSU (10-13) lost to third ranked Suduva (16-7) in Kaunas 57-71 on Friday. It was a very good performance for the former international power forward Iveta Salkauske (197-82, college: Illinois, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Sandra Baliutaviciute (182-81) contributed with 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. International power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and forward Neringa Skadaite (179-92) added 20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Aistes-LSU. Suduva have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 16-7 record having six points less than leader Kibirkstis-VICI. Loser Aistes-LSU keeps the fifth place with 13 games lost. Suduva will face Jaunieji Talentai (#7) in Vilnius in the next round. Aistes-LSU will play on the road against Ruta-Univ. in Siauliai and hope to win that game.
