Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked BBC Bayreuth (4-17) was defeated at home by fourteenth ranked Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (8-14) 77-67 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Eisbaeren Bremerhaven. BBC Bayreuth was better in third quarter 20-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BBC Bayreuth 38-26 including 17 on the offensive glass. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven moved-up to thirteenth place. BBC Bayreuth lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventeenth position with 17 games lost. Eisbaeren Bremerhaven will face higher ranked Phoenix Hagen (#9) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. BBC Bayreuth will play against EWE Baskets (#4) having rather not much hope for a victory.
