Regular Season Round 22: NY Phantoms - Ludwigsburg 84-78

An interesting game took place in Braunschweig where higher ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (11-10) was upset on the court of twelfth ranked New Yorker Phantoms (10-12) 84-78. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of EnBW Ludwigsburg. The game without a history. New Yorker Phantoms led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 27-of-34 charity shots (79.4 percent) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: Florida St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). Guard Immanuel McElroy (194-80, college: Cincinnati) contributed with 16 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. point guard Michael Stockton (185-89, college: Westminster, UT) replied with 22 points and guard Coby Karl (196-83, college: Boise St., agency: Priority Sports) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Five New Yorker Phantoms and four EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. EnBW Ludwigsburg's coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. New Yorker Phantoms moved-up to tenth place, which they share with MBC. EnBW Ludwigsburg at the other side keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. New Yorker Phantoms' next round opponent will be league's second-placed Brose Baskets in Bamberg and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
