Very predictable result when third ranked CSM Targoviste (17-3) outscored at home 10th ranked Oradea (6-13) 112-49. The game without a history. CSM Targoviste led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Oradea's 38. CSM Targoviste forced 32 Oradea turnovers and outrebounded them 34-19 including a 20-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Oradea's players. It was a good game for American-FYR Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American center Jenna Smith (191-88, college: Illinois) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. American swingman L'Oreal Joi Price (173-87, college: Fayetteville St.) answered with 15 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import forward Shuanda Ashford (185, college: E.Carolina) added 17 points in the effort for Oradea. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for CSM Targoviste. They maintain third place with 17-3 record having four points less than leader ICIM Arad. Oradea lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 13 games lost. CSM Targoviste will play against Galati (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Oradea will play against Brasov and hopes to get back on the winning track.
