Very important is a road loss of Yakin Dogu (1-1) against Gure (1-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Yakin Dogu was defeated by Gure in Balikesir 69-58. Gure brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. Selin Oztekin (-90) notched 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 blocks to lead the effort and Fulya Sena Sarigul supported her with 10 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Even a double-double of 27 points and 16 rebounds by Nigerian center Aisha Mohammed (191-85, college: Virginia) did not help to save the game for Yakin Dogu. point guard Tugba Gonen (170-90) added 15 points for the guests. Gure will play against Cankaya in Ankara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Yakin Dogu will play at home against Mersin Kurtulus and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
