Second Stage Round 1: Aabyhoj - Falcon 73-58

Aabyhoj defeated Falcon at home 73-58. It looked good early as Falcon took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Aabyhoj had a 19-10 second period charge getting the lead and Falcon was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 58-73. It was a great shooting night for Aabyhoj especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Maria Jespersen (182-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Swingman Julie Hoier (185-95) contributed with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Aabyhoj's coach Thomas Johansen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Simona Bartkova (178-86) answered with 14 points and 8 rebounds and guard Elisabeth Hansen (176-93) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Falcon. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Falcon will play next round against strong Stevnsgade trying to get back on the winning streak. Aabyhoj will try to continue on its current victory against Vaerlose on the road.
