Regular Season Round 23: Maliye Milli - Pamukkale 64-68

Date: February 25, 2014
Very predictable result in Ankara where seventh ranked Pamukkale (14-9) defeated 13th ranked Maliye Milli (9-14) 68-64 on Tuesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Maliye Milli won third quarter 16-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) helped adding 10 points and 8 rebounds. Four Pamukkale players scored in double figures. Pamukkale's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. American swingman Vincent Grier (195-83, college: Minnesota) responded with 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and forward Sahin Ekmen (203-89) scored 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Pamukkale moved-up to sixth place. Loser Maliye Milli dropped to the fourteenth position with 14 games lost. Pamukkale will face Balikesir (#9) at home in the next round. Maliye Milli will play against Final Genclik (#12) in Bursa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
