Regular Season Round 23: Ankara DSI Era - Final Genclik 86-70

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Ankara DSI Era (16-7) beat at home 11th ranked Final Genclik (10-12) 86-70 on Tuesday. The game without a history. Ankara DSI Era led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Ankara DSI Era had a 30-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Final Genclik's players. Final Genclik was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Mustafa Gorur (204-88, agency: 1x1 Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line !!!). American point guard Lamar Karim (178-83, college: So.Poly State, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) responded with 20 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Erdem Ilter (188-90) scored 16 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Ankara DSI Era. Newly promoted Ankara DSI Era maintains third place with 16-7 record having just three points less than leader Darussafaka. Final Genclik lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the twelfth position with 12 games lost. Ankara DSI Era will face Pertevniyal (#16) in Istanbul in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Final Genclik will play at home against Maliye Milli (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
