Regular Season Round 23: Balikesir - Antalya 75-73

A very interesting game took place in Balikesir. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Antalya (11-12) to tenth ranked Balikesir (12-11) 75-73 on Wednesday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Antalya won third quarter 19-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Hadi Dogan (200-86) orchestrated the victory by scoring 12 points and 4 assists. Burak Yuksel (205-92, agency: 1x1 Sports) contributed with 14 points for the winners. Four Balikesir players scored in double figures. Balikesir's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. American forward Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) answered with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Henry Antwan Dobie (183-78, college: LIU Brooklyn) added 31 points in the effort for Antalya. The victory was the third consecutive win for Balikesir. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Gelism. Antalya lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Balikesir's next round opponent will be higher ranked Pamukkale (#6) on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Antalya will play against ITU Istanbul (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
