Bottom-ranked Ruta-Univ. (0-24) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 24th consecutive match to fifth ranked Aistes-LSU (11-13) 74-58 on Friday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Aistes-LSU. Ruta-Univ. managed to win second period 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for guard Ieva Stankeviciute (174-89) who led her team to a victory scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds. point guard Greta Tamasauskaite (174-91) helped adding 14 points and 4 assists. Aistes-LSU's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Ieva Kazlauskaite (178-94) responded with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Silvija Kuodiene (180-81) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds. Four Ruta-Univ. players scored in double figures. Aistes-LSU maintains fifth place with 11-13 record. Ruta-Univ. at the other side still closes the standings. Aistes-LSU are looking forward to face Utena (#6) at home in the next round. Ruta-Univ. will play against Suduva in Marijampole and hopes to get finally their first victory.
