Regular Season Round 24: Pamukkale - Balikesir 66-65

A very close game took place in Pamukkale between Pamukkale and Balikesir. Sixth ranked Pamukkale (15-9) got a very close home victory over 9th ranked Balikesir (12-12). Pamukkale managed to escape with a 1-point win 66-65 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Balikesir. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Balikesir won fourth quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian guard Armands Skele (192-83) who helped to win the game recording 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) who added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four Pamukkale players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Hadi Dogan (200-86) with 19 points and American point guard Dante Swanson (178-81, college: Tulsa, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) scored 9 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Pamukkale moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Istanbul B.B. Loser Balikesir keeps the ninth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Gelism. Pamukkale will meet ITU Istanbul (#8) on the road in the next round. Balikesir will play against Final Genclik and hope to secure a win.
