Eleventh-ranked Don Bosco Bamberg (5-14) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked Herner TC (11-8). The visitors from Herne managed to secure only one-point victory 82-81. However their fans expected much easier game. Don Bosco Bamberg was ahead by 5 points at the halftime before a 30-20 third quarter run of Herner TC. Herner TC maintains third place with 11-8 record having six points less than leader Wasserburg, which they share with Marburg and Halle. Don Bosco Bamberg at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 14 games lost. Herner TC's next round opponent will be Eisvogel Freiburg (#9) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Don Bosco Bamberg will play against ChemCats Chemnitz and hope to win that game.
