ProA top team - BG Goettingen (22-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked NBC (14-11) 90-73. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of NBC. They outrebounded NBC 36-21 including a 24-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. American guard Alex Ruoff (198-86, college: W.Virginia) fired 11 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. His fellow American import center Harper Kamp (203-88, college: California) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. BG Goettingen's coach Johannes Roijakkers used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American center Ronald Thompson (208-81, college: Morehouse) produced 10 points and 8 rebounds and forward Michael Fleischmann (205-86) added 11 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. BG Goettingen have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place with 22-3 record. Loser NBC keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. They share it with Heidelberg. BG Goettingen will meet Finke Baskets (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. NBC will play against Kirchheim Knights (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
