Important game to mention about took place in Varda. Third ranked Varda HE (11-7) saved a 2-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Leotar (8-10) 71-69 on Saturday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Leotar won third quarter 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Naturalized Serbian guard Marko Josilo (201-92) notched 19 points to lead the effort and Serbian forward Nemanja Knezevic (191-92) supported him with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Varda HE players scored in double figures. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by Serbian guard Ivan Vukadinov (193-81) did not help to save the game for Leotar. Serbian point guard Niksa Nikolic (196-91, agency: Beo Basket) added 11 points. Leotar's coach Marko Icelic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Varda HE maintains third position with 11-7 record having just three points less than leader Mladost. Leotar at the other side dropped to the seventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Radnik B. and Bosna. Varda HE will play against league's second-placed Spars Sarajevo at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Leotar will play against Radnik B. (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
