Not a big story in a game when 11th ranked Postojna (6-12) was outscored by fourth ranked Lastovka (11-7) in Smlednik 96-65 on Saturday. The game without a history. Lastovka led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 76 of its points in the paint compared to Postojna's 30. They outrebounded Postojna 45-20 including a 20-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Lastovka looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Postojna's players. Power forward Gregor Jakhel Kolarevic (208-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds to lead the effort and point guard Aljaz Korosec (190-92) supported him with 17 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. Four Lastovka players scored in double figures. Lastovka's coach felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by forward Alen Katonar (200-92) did not help to save the game for Postojna. Forward Stanko Rajcic (206-86) added 23 points. Newly promoted Lastovka maintains fourth position with 11-7 record. Loser Postojna keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. Lastovka will meet Koper (#13) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Postojna will play against Hrastnik and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
