Regular Season Round 30: Aalborg - Bakken 80-96

Ligaen top team - Bakken (20-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they beat sixth ranked Aalborg (10-14) 96-80. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Aalborg. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 22-of-22 charity shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. Americans were the main players on the court. Forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: I.D.S. Law) notched 21 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and guard Kenny Barker (191-86, college: Alaska-Anch.) supported him with 22 points and 7 assists. Bakken's coach Ville Tuominen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even a double-double of 32 points, 20 rebounds and 5 assists by forward Joe Burton (201-90, college: Oregon St.) did not help to save the game for Aalborg. Swingman Hillary Haley (198-88, college: Md-E Shore) added 16 points and 8 rebounds. Five Bakken and four Aalborg players scored in double figures. Bakken have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 20-3 record. Aalborg at the other side keeps the sixth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Naestved. Bakken will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Aalborg will play again at home against the league's leader Bakken (#1) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
