Very important is a road loss of third ranked Neftochimic (12-7) against fourth ranked Montana 2003 (12-7) on Saturday night. Visiting Neftochimic was defeated by Montana 2003 in Montana 81-67. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Neftochimic. The game was mostly controlled by Montana 2003. Neftochimic was better in fourth quarter 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Montana 2003 forced 30 Neftochimic turnovers. Strangely Neftochimic outrebounded Montana 2003 46-31 including a 36-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international power forward Milena Tomova (189-82, college: FIU) scored 24 points and 7 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the former international power forward Radostina Slavova-Naneva (188-86) chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Four Montana 2003 players scored in double figures. At the losing side American power forward Gloria Brown (187-89, college: UTEP, agency: Merit Management Group) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 20 rebounds and guard Borislava Hristova (181-96) scored 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Montana 2003 moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Neftochimic. Montana 2003 will play against Haskovo 2012 (#5) on the road in the next round. Neftochimic will play against Beroe and hopes to get back on the winning track.
