The game between Top Four teams took place in Leverkusen. 3rd placed host SG BBZ Opladen (11-8) lost to second ranked Hannover (13-6) 66-55It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of SG BBZ Opladen. It looked good early as SG BBZ Opladen took an 4-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hannover had a 16-8 second period charge getting the lead and SG BBZ Opladen was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 55-66. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Rayven Johnson (173-91, college: NJIT) who led the winners and scored 26 points. The former international guard Dorothea Richter (176-83) accounted for 16 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side. Center Marie Gulich (194-94) came up with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian point guard Alyson Bush (170) added 15 points respectively for SG BBZ Opladen in the defeat. SG BBZ Opladen's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Hannover have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain second place in North with 13-6 record having five points less than leader Keltern. SG BBZ Opladen at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. They share it with BG 74 Veilchen and Braunschweig. Hannover will play against Krofdorf/Gleib. (#9) in Giessen in the next round and are hoping to win another game. SG BBZ Opladen will play on the road against the league's leader Rotenburg/Scheessel (#1) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
