The game in Quakenbrueck supposed to be also worth to mention about. One of their biggest challengers EWE Baskets (17-7) played at the court of fifth ranked Artland Dragons (16-8). Artland Dragons smashed EWE Baskets 95-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of EWE Baskets. The game without a history. Artland Dragons led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They outrebounded EWE Baskets 37-25 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Artland Dragons players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. American players dominated also this game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Lawrence Hill (203-87, college: Stanford) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds and center Kenny Frease (212-89, college: Xavier) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Artland Dragons players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was point guard Dru Joyce (183-85, college: Akron, agency: LUMANI 10.7) with 8 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Chris Kramer (191-88, college: Purdue) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Artland Dragons have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 16-8 record. EWE Baskets at the other side keep the fourth place with seven games lost. Artland Dragons will play against league's second-placed Brose Baskets in Bamberg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. EWE Baskets will play at home against ALBA Berlin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
