Regular Season Round 24: MBC - Ludwigsburg 96-93

Important game to mention about took place in Weissenfels. Tenth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (11-13) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 8th ranked EnBW Ludwigsburg (12-11) 96-93 on Sunday evening. EnBW Ludwigsburg was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Mitteldeutscher BC made 28-of-37 free shots (75.7 percent) during the game, while EnBW Ludwigsburg only scored eleven points from the stripe. It was a good game for American-Italian forward Angelo Caloiaro (203-89, college: USF) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Michael Cuffee (195-83, college: Middle Tenn.St.) contributed with 23 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American guard Coby Karl (196-83, college: Boise St., agency: Priority Sports) replied with 26 points and 4 assists and his fellow American import Keaton Grant (193-86, college: Purdue) added 19 points and 4 steals in the effort for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Five Mitteldeutscher BC and four EnBW Ludwigsburg players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Mitteldeutscher BC moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Phoenix Hagen. Loser EnBW Ludwigsburg keeps the eighth position with 11 games lost. Mitteldeutscher BC will face SC Rasta Vechta (#17) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
