Regular Season Round 19: Saarlouis - Donau-Ries 76-70

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked TV Saarlouis Royals (9-10) beat at home 9th ranked Donau-Ries (7-12) 76-70 on Sunday. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. TV Saarlouis Royals made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. Donau-Ries were plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American swingman Kayla Tetschlag (182-89, college: Green Bay) who helped to win the game recording 16 points. Her fellow American import forward Keisha Hampton (187-90, college: De Paul, agency: LBM Management) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American Morgan Henderson (185-88, college: San Diego) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds and Belarusian point guard Alexandra Tarasava (170-88) added 19 points in the effort for Donau-Ries. Newly promoted TV Saarlouis Royals maintains seventh place with 9-10 record. Loser Donau-Ries keep the ninth position with 12 games lost. TV Saarlouis Royals will face Oberhausen (#8) on the road in the next round. Donau-Ries will play against the league's leader TSV 1880 Wasserburg having rather not much hope for a victory.
