The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked TSV Amicitia's (5-14) home loss to ninth ranked TG 1889 Sandhausen (8-11) 51-53 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TSV Amicitia won fourth quarter 13-8. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. TG 1889 Sandhausen forced 22 TSV Amicitia turnovers. It was a great evening for Canadian center Matteke Hutzler (188-88) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Center Friederike Kroger (193-88) helped adding 11 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side American forward Alysa Horn (182-90, college: Alaska-Anch.) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and guard Sidney Parsons (168-87, college: Bridgeport) scored 7 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. TG 1889 Sandhausen moved-up to eighth place in South, which they share with Jahn Muenchen. TSV Amicitia lost their seventh game in a row. They keep the tenth position with 14 games lost. TG 1889 Sandhausen will face league's leader Gruner Stern Keltern on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TSV Amicitia will play against ASC Theresianum Mainz (#6) and hope to win that game.
