The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked TSV 1880 Wasserburg (17-2) on the court of twelfth ranked Osnabruck on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by Osnabruck 69-64. It ended at the same time the 15-game winning streak of TSV 1880 Wasserburg. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TSV 1880 Wasserburg won third quarter 24-19. American Emma Cannon (187-89, college: Cent.Florida) answered with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 23 rebounds (made all of her eight free throws) and the former international forward Stephanie Wagner (182-90) added 11 points in the effort for TSV 1880 Wasserburg. Osnabruck (6-13) moved-up to eleventh place. Defending champion TSV 1880 Wasserburg still keeps top position with two games lost. Osnabruck are looking forward to face higher ranked SV Halle Lions (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TSV 1880 Wasserburg will play against Donau-Ries and is hoping to win this game.
