Very predictable result in Dniprodzerzhynsk where eighth ranked BC Kyiv (10-12) defeated bottom-ranked DniproAzot (2-17) 71-59 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by BC Kyiv. DniproAzot managed to win fourth quarter 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BC Kyiv looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The former international Vladislav Podolian (194-86) fired 17 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Power forward Maksim Sandul (207-91) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Four BC Kyiv players scored in double figures. The former international forward Yaroslav Zubrytskyi (202-74) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Sam Muldrow (205-88, college: S.Carolina) added 12 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. BC Kyiv maintains eighth position with 10-12 record. DniproAzot lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 17 games lost. BC Kyiv will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. DniproAzot will play against Ferro-ZNTU (#6) and hope to secure a win.
