We should mention about the upset which took place in Panevezys, where 4th placed Siauliai (11-12) lost to tenth ranked Lietkabelis (8-17) in a road game 77-83. Siauliai was ahead by 9 points at the halftime before a 24-14 third quarter run of Lietkabelis. They also forced 21 Siauliai turnovers. It was an exceptional evening for Russian center Ivan Nelyubov (207-88) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Darius Griskenas (194-84) accounted for 18 points and 4 steals for the winning side. Four Lietkabelis players scored in double figures. American guard Travis Leslie (193-90, college: Georgia) came up with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and guard Vytautas Sulskis (200-88, college: Youngstown St.) added 6 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Siauliai in the defeat. Lietkabelis maintains tenth place with 8-17 record. Siauliai at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Lietkabelis' next round opponent will be higher ranked Juventus (#9) in Utena and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
