No shocking result in a game when third ranked USC Leipzig (13-9) won against at home 10th ranked Weissenhorn Youngstars (8-14) 83-75 on Saturday. Weissenhorn Youngstars trailed by 14 points at halftime and as many as 15 after three quarters before a 21-14 last quarter charge cut the deficit to 75-83 at the end of the game. USC Leipzig forced 21 Weissenhorn Youngstars turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Czech center Jaroslav Tyrna (207-86, college: New Orleans) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) chipped in 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Five USC Leipzig players scored in double figures. USC Leipzig's coach Martin Scholz used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Dustin Ware (180-90, college: Georgia) responded with 24 points and 4 steals and forward Lars Schlueter (201-95) scored 13 points and 5 rebounds. USC Leipzig have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain third position in Group South with 13-9 record having four points less than leader Hanau. Weissenhorn Youngstars lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with 14 games lost.
