The game in Istanbul was also quite interesting. Fifth ranked Pamukkale (16-9) played at the court of 8th ranked ITU Istanbul (12-12). Pamukkale managed to secure a 6-point victory 75-69 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of ITU Istanbul. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 38-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Bosnian-Slovenian center Hasan Rizvic (212-84) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Osiris Eldridge (191-88, college: Illinois St.) accounted for 19 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized Bulgarian forward Musa Gunes (200-85) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American forward Isiah Brown (203-89, college: E.Tenn.St.) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for ITU Istanbul in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Pamukkale. They maintain fifth place with 16-9 record, which they share with Istanbul B.B. Newly promoted ITU Istanbul keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Pamukkale will meet at home higher ranked Vestel (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. ITU Istanbul will play against Final Genclik (#12) in Bursa and hope to secure a win.
