This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of one of their biggest challengers BasCats Heidelberg (13-7) to second ranked Bad Aibling (16-4) 66-64 in the game for the second place. BasCats Heidelberg was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 17-14 charge of Bad Aibling, which allowed them to win the game. Bad Aibling are looking forward to face Rhein MB II (#10) in Langen in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
