Regular Season Round 25: Maliye Milli - Pertevniyal 90-93

A very interesting game took place in Ankara. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 14th ranked Maliye Milli (10-15) to seventeenth ranked Pertevniyal (7-18) 93-90 on Saturday evening. It looked good early as Maliye Milli took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Pertevniyal had a 27-21 second period charge getting the lead and Maliye Milli was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 90-93. Burak Can Yildizli (202-94) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Forward Okben Ulubay (200-97) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. Pertevniyal's coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Forward Sahin Ekmen (203-89) produced 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and Deniz Cevik (190-94, agency: 1x1 Sports) added 26 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Five Pertevniyal and four Maliye Milli players scored in double figures. Pertevniyal moved-up to sixteenth place. Maliye Milli at the other side keeps the fourteenth position with 15 games lost. Pertevniyal's next round opponent will be higher ranked Balikesir (#11) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
