Regular Season Round 25: Telekom Bsk - Walter Tigers 80-63

Very predictable result in Bonn where sixth ranked Telekom Baskets (16-9) defeated bottom-ranked Walter Tigers (4-20) 80-63 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 17 points. American guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple, agency: Pro One Sports) stepped up and scored 26 points and 4 assists for the winners and his fellow American import forward Jamel McLean (203-88, college: Xavier) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Telekom Baskets' coach Matthias Fischer used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side naturalized Serbian center Bogdan Radosavljevic (213-93) responded with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian guard Branislav Ratkovica (192-85, agency: Beo Basket) scored 15 points and 5 assists. Telekom Baskets have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Art.Dragons. Walter Tigers lost fourth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Telekom Baskets will face Phoenix Hagen (#10) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Walter Tigers will play against BBC Bayreuth (#16) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
