No shocking result in a game when second ranked Fenerbahce Ulker (17-4) beat 11th ranked Turk Telekom (7-14) in Ankara 69-63 on Sunday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 20-10. But Turk Telekom won second period 21-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Turk Telekom 40-28 including 33 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for Serbian Nemanja Bjelica (209-88, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. International swingman Melih Mahmutoglu (193-90) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Serbian forward Luka Bogdanovic (210-85, agency: Beo Basket) answered with 13 points and 6 rebounds and the former international center Cemal Nalga (213-87, agency: Beo Basket) added 12 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Turk Telekom. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the tenth consecutive win for Fenerbahce Ulker. They maintain second place with 17-4 record having just three points less than leader Banvit BK. Loser Turk Telekom dropped to the twelfth position with 14 games lost. Fenerbahce Ulker will face league's leader Banvit BK in Balikesir in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Turk Telekom will play on the road against Karsiyaka (#6) and hope to win that game.
