Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked DniproAzot (2-20) lost to eleventh ranked Cherkasy (9-12) in Dniprodzerzhynsk 94-99 on Monday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 26-20. But DniproAzot won second period 27-25. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Cherkasy won last quarter 24-21. They made 28-of-36 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists. DniproAzot was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American power forward Jamal Boykin (203-87, college: California) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Naturalized Moldovan guard Andrii Kalnichenko (200-86) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Cherkasy's coach Maksym Mikhelson used an eleven-player rotation in such tough game.
