Regular Season Round 24: Khimik - DniproAzot 91-59

Superleague top team - Khimik (18-2) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked DniproAzot (2-20) in Yuzhny 91-59. The game without a history. Khimik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to DniproAzot's 18. They outrebounded DniproAzot 48-29 including a 36-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Khimik players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 15 passes made by DniproAzot's players. Worth to mention a quality performance of international forward Vladimir Konev (201-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Oleksandr Prokopenko (190-92) who added 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Khimik's coach Karlis Muiznieks felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Yaroslav Zubrytskyi (202-74) with 16 points and 6 rebounds and the former international guard Bogdan Bayda (193-89, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) scored 18 points. Khimik have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 18-2 record. DniproAzot lost tenth consecutive game. They stay dead last with 20 lost games. Khimik will play against SC Kryvbas (#12) in Kryvyi Rih in the next round which should be another easy win for them. DniproAzot will have a break next round.
