Rather predictable result in Kaunas where eighth ranked Dzukija (10-15) smashed bottom-ranked LSU-Atletas (3-24) 74-52. The game was mostly controlled by Dzukija. LSU-Atletas was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dzukija dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to LSU-Atletas' 32. Dzukija forced 21 LSU-Atletas turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. Center Tautvydas Slezas (207-90, agency: Interperformances) nailed 20 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winning side and point guard Eigirdas Zukauskas (201-92) accounted for 17 points and 5 steals. Dzukija will play against higher ranked Siauliai (#4) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
