No shocking result in a game when second ranked Crailsheim Merlins (20-7) beat at home 12th ranked Finke Baskets (9-18) 93-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Crailsheim Merlins. Finke Baskets was better in fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Crailsheim Merlins dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Finke Baskets' 40. Crailsheim Merlins had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Five Crailsheim Merlins and four Finke Baskets players scored in double figures. Crailsheim Merlins maintains second place with 20-7 record having four points less than leader Goettingen. Finke Baskets lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 18 games lost. Crailsheim Merlins will face Oettinger Rockets Gotha (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Finke Baskets will play against Science City Jena and hope to win that game.
