An interesting game for Balkan (13-4) which hosted in Botevgrad 4th ranked Levski Sofia (12-6). Second ranked Balkan had an easy win 92-72. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Levski Sofia. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 49-27 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Balkan looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American forward Noah Dahlman (200-89, college: Wofford) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 13 rebounds. International Ivan Lilov (196-88) contributed with 20 points for the winners. American forward Jumaine Jones (202-79, college: Georgia) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Lionel Chalmers (184-80, college: Xavier) added 16 points in the effort for Levski Sofia. Five Balkan and four Levski Sofia players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Balkan have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-4 record having five points less than leader Lukoil Acad. Levski Sofia at the other side keeps the fourth place with six games lost. Balkan are looking forward to face Rilski (#6) in Samokov in the next round. Levski Sofia will have a break next round.
