Regular Season Round 26: Antalya - Buyukcekmece 62-86

Date: March 15, 2014
There was no surprise when 13th ranked Antalya (11-15) was outplayed at home by ninth ranked Buyukcekmece (13-13) 86-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Buyukcekmece. Antalya was better in fourth quarter 17-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Center Dogan Deniz Yigit (197-89) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Kahiem Seawright (206-86, college: Rhode Island) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Five Buyukcekmece players scored in double figures. American forward Damien Kinloch (203-80, college: Tenn Tech) responded with 17 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import guard Henry Antwan Dobie (183-78, college: LIU Brooklyn) scored 7 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Buyukcekmece have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place. Antalya lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Buyukcekmece will face higher ranked Pamukkale (#7) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Antalya will play against Akhisar Bld (#6) and hope to win that game.
